Empowering Survivors for Post-Traumatic Growth
Survivors have their own unique story, experience, and needs. I help you find your path forward, whatever that may be.
You may not feel comfortable with the words victim or survivor. These words aren’t meant to label you, only to describe what you have been through. The words do not have to hold a negative energy. No matter where you are at on your healing journey, I want to help you move forward. It is possible to achieve post-traumatic growth. We don’t hear as much about post-traumatic growth as we hear about ptsd or post-traumatic stress disorder, and I want to change that because it is possible.
There is no way of measuring trauma. What might be traumatic for you may not be traumatic for others. There is no way to measure the amount of sexual abuse or assault one has experienced. It all matters. Your experience, and your symptoms are valid, you do not have to go through this on your own. You deserve help.
Healing and moving forward are the same. Everyone moves forward in their own way and at their own pace. Research shows that trauma experiences get stuck in the body, the body keeps the score. There are many different methods that have been developed to help relieve the body and the mind of the trauma.

One-on-one coaching -
We go at your pace and use what works for you. We can figure that out by discussing your needs and by trying different methods that have been proven successful for others until we find what works for you. This is not the same as therapy.
I have been trained and certified as a counselor of sexual assault and domestic violence through the Center for Community Solutions and the State of California Office of Emergency Services (CalOES). I am not a therapist, that is a different skill set (and licensing) that can also be helpful for you and I can provide you a referral to therapists if needed.
